That is a real shame. I touted El Tigre's craziness to my friends and bought episodes off iTunes. It was one of the -fastest- cartoons I'd ever seen and made me genuinely laugh. And I am not a kid.

I'm very dissapointed that El tigre is cancelled, but it will always be in my 'corazon'!
Hopefully if they show reruns late at night it will be resurrected.
(Hopefully the exec who axed it will choke on his Halloween candy)

El Tigre even did BETTER than Spongebob its premiering night! This isn't fair. If a show isn't as popular as Spongebob its immediatly canned. This show has real potential. Its entertaining, its funny, it has morals, it has family values, and its even got other culture references!! In fact this may sound weird but El Tigre is the only reason I passed Spanish last year. Because of the vocab I learned from the show. Yes I know weird but thats not the point! The point is El Tigre is an awesome show! Nickeldeon has no idea what its doing and neither does Viacom!

Hey came across your Blog from CHF. My name is Jamal. Sorry to hear about El Tigre.

Having worked on a few flash shows myself. I know exactly how it feels to have something that you slaved on endlessly go away.

El-Tigre was an Dope show man.

Good luck in the future.

Nice Blog! Imma check back

Terrible news. This was my favorite cartoon on the air.

What do they expect, though? They pulled the show from it's normal time slot and ran it at different times on Saturdays, but still kept the 10:30 announcement on the site. They also kept rerunning the same episode. I don't know any cartoon that would do well with that kind of treatment.

What a shame, and piss poor timing with the holidays around the corner. Hope you bounce to something cool soon!

Fuck this 'pat on the head' stuff. I'm writing those idiots. That's a great show!

Jerks.

HEY GUYS! If everyone reading this sends in an angry email to Nickelodeon, we might get to see them do more work! Waddaya says?

I want to see these guys do more great stuff together!

Steve...I am so sorry for you and all the other extremely talented (and fun!) people working on that show! I know you all will reach new successes individually but, jeez... it really looked (to me) like this was one of those special shows were the people and talent were united and making cool, cool things, together. And having some fun too. It's sad and twisted to have it end so quickly like this.

I have a feeling it will be resurrected.

PEPE said...

i know all to well that, like a cat, steve always lands on his feet. sorry about the news but i bet even better things are on the dockett for you!! remember we survived trainscape!!

I agree. That was a good show... but there is nothing I can do about it. Not much anyone can do. They always do these type of things to good shows... but that's what happens. They get rid of the good to great shows to make way for the stupider ones. They seem to atract more kids for some reason I guess, but what people forget is an audience isn't only made of kids, now is it? One, adults like to watch shows two, and two, the adults have to aprove of the show before they let their kids watch it, and honestly, some shows are not very kid friendly. But I guess all good things come to an end...
*Sign* I just wish the end didn't come so soon...

Sincerely,
Me, Myself, and I
