I've always loved your colouring technique. I used to wonder how you managed to get such a traditional look to your illustrations by using art software (and used to think all of your drawings were painted with acrylics!)
I really can't practise doing different colouring techniques since my computer is a door stop. lol, but I really want to try it out. Until I get a new computer, I'll just keep awaiting for new illustration updations from the almighty Mr. Lambe!
I've been following your stuff since I saw the Mario illustration on the Flight forum a while back, and I didn't even realize you were here in Chicago! Turns out we both work with people who know us...i mean, nevermind. Anyway, this is beeeyoootiful stuff! Your drawing style alone is really nice, but when it's painted, tripley so! I'm envious of your photoshop, painter, and whatever else skills. I'm pretty much a novice at all this color stuff, but I'm always inspired to learn faster when I come here. Maybe we'll run into eachother one o' these days. Keep crankin' out the good stuff! Now I have to go drool some more over at Eren Blanquet's blog. Thanks for another new discovery.
Nice one Steve! Nice proportions! Question: Did you like using Painter? Any difference between it and Photoshop? Just curious, thinking about picking it up one day.
Fantastic! It really looks like your using real paints. I stumbled onto some work you did in Adventure magazine, I immediately recognized it, your style is really solid!
Good stuff Steve! There seems to be a claws-for-hands theme in several of your illos...We also like the "Jimmy Two Shoes" location concept. Yeah, and we're inpired by Eren too. Must install Painter and play soon.
Oh my gosh Steve thank you so much for the kind words and the link!! Wow that means so much coming from you! Ooooh Crazyface came out great!! So how did you enjoy this painter experiment?

You've got great color sense.( You're design sense is superior as well.) I always like your combinations. You inspire me daily.
