Two morning warmups from last week. The first one is a lovely self portrait...inspired by a Basil Wolverton book I recently picked up. I liked it enough to make it my new facebook avatar.

The second was a homemade card I made for my wife. It was our one year wedding anniversary. She liked it enough to make her new facebook avatar.

Lowell Hess website

I just discovered that one of my favorite illustrators, Lowell Hess, has a new website. It's jam packed with amazing illustrations, pop-ups, and incredible wood carvings. Please check it out, and if you like the work as much as I do, then feel free to leave him a note saying so.
