Project Re-Design: A Juggernaut a day...

So what the hell is Project Re-Design? Is it some kinda lame reality show on NBC? Hells no!! K...lemme explain.

Recently, I was at swap meet and came across a stack of old comics titled "Who's Who", and "The Marvel Universe".

After leafing through a few, I remembered how many fun (and super lame) superheroes there are in the comic book universe. Then it dawned on me...how fun would it be to take these characters and re-imagine them. It'd make for good design practise, and it'd be a chance for me to rekindle my love for comics (long dormant since the Liefeld Image age). The challenge would be to do a design a day for a week, or until inspiration runs dry for that character.

So first up to the plate is the Juggernaut.

01) Friday......."Prison Punkass Juggernaut".

02) Saturday........"Emo Juggernaut".

*Many thanks to A.S. for the tweaks on this one.*
03) Sunday......."Juggernaut Gigante".

04) Monday......."8-pack Juggernaut".

05) Tuesday......."Pumpkin Head Juggernaut".

06) Wednesday......."Egg-ernaut".

07) Thursday......."Junkyard Dog Juggernaut".

Back on friday with the final juggernaut. Color this time, I promise!

Costume design is big fun. Like this edge you've added to the Juggernaut, Steve. Hope soon to see more of these. I bet the audience at Project Rooftop would dig yer takes on classic longjohns, too.

Love all the mucking around with the proportions. It's not an easy task to make a big muscle head cute and appealing.

Great work.
