Hey folks! Sorry for the lack of posts recently. The last coupla' months have been a whirlwind of activity. Outside of freelance, I've been finishing up on El Tigre, helping out the talented folks on Mighty B (Check it out April 26th!), and starting my new job on Fanboy.
Many thanks to creator, Eric Robles for allowing me to join his mega talented crew on the show. Designing for the third dimension is going to be a lot different than flash/2d shows I've worked on so far, so I'm super excited about it. There's not a lot of stylized 3d shows out there right now, so it's exciting that we will be breaking some new ground.
If you're curious to see more about the show, then checkout the very cool production blog over at Frederator site.
Cheers to the Z plane!!
-Steve.

Congrats on the new job Steve!
They are lucky to have you rocking out designs! I can't wait to see more development on the show and how your designs translate to 3D!
Exciting stuff!
Kudos!
Congrabulation, Steve! That's good news. Looking forward to your latest greatest.
YIKES! Looks like I'll have some competition.
Congrats on the new job, Steve. I'm interested to see what 3D-related material you'll have to share. Here's to a productive spring and summer.
well, after I didn't get an email back from you, I figured you were either dead, in the hosital, abducted by aliens, or working real hard on a new job. I went with the last idea.
Congrats Slamb...drop me an email or comment when you get a chance.
Congrats dude, that's awesome news!! Can't wait to see some stuff from it!
SOLID! Your talents on that project is like icing on the cake. Sounds like a great oportunity to learn some 3D.
I can't wait to see what you do! Look at you moving to the dark side of 3d! :)

Wow - Good luck to ya Lamby! Z-plane...eesh... Lemme know when ya wanna take over for me on 3D realtime games over here ;)
It'll be neat to see 2D designs taken into 3D. Push it to the limit baby!
If I had any advice to share with an established genius such as yourself, it would be to first design for the show - don't design for the medium. Try not to think about how things will work in 3D or the limitations they might present when drawing because you'll just shortchange yourself and the show. At least in the beginning. When things are established and people are familiar with the limits, you'll naturally draw like it was 3D for the show.
I had a bunch of other stuff to babble on about how the Z-plane is he devil but you don't need to hear anymore from crazy ol' bob!
Oh!
I also had a dream that you, Sue and I went to Alaska on a three day weekend/vacation. We picked a bad time to go though because the airport was under heavy watch with all the Columbians that try to sneak on board and escape to Alaska. Don't ask - I just dream it. I know I fell asleep with the TV on and there was this stand up comedian who was part Columbian talking about illegal immigrants. So I think that's how that part got in my slumbering brain...
sounds great, i'm heading over there now!
Excellent to hear you are still working in animation and not turning to do porn like soooo many young hopefulls that go out to L.A. in hopes of finding fame and fortune.Although i am sure you would excel in that industry as well.
