You never draw me!

My fiance often complains that I never draw any pictures of her, so I did up this quick one for her computer's desktop. Hope you like it, hun!

Commentary: Yes...my nostrils are that big.

One more...

Last of the three.

The Alligerbil
Cross an alligator with a gerbil and you get a pet that’s, well, hard to pet!

Commentary: Still not 100% happy with that gerbil/gator. It's hard to find a cute AND ugly design. Also the blue bottle is taking the focus away from the gerbil. Bad color placement on my part. Oh well...live and learn! Back with more stuff this week.

Disney Adventures Assignment...

The theme for this month was "Strange New Pets!"

The Rhinoodle:
Give this part Rhino, part poodle a scratch behind his horn..he loves it!

The Purrtle: Dont expect this cat turtle combo to move anywhere fast!

Commentary? These came out ok. I think I'm most happy with the background on the rhinoodle illo. The rest is mediocre. I may have gone a little too crazy with the orange in the second one. Those mice certainly do pop though..heh heh.

Gruesomestein's Monsters

I just got an email today from Mark Ackland. He's just put up a blog dedicated to his show "Gruesomestein's Monsters". Both he and Riccardo Durante directed the show, and it aired as part of a series of shorts on Nelvana's FunPack earlier this year, on YTV. Not only did it showcase some fantastic design theory, the content was super funny as well.

Unfortunately Nelvana, in it's bad judgement, hasnt picked up the show. In posting the development work on the new blog, Mark's hoping to create enough buzz that maybe it will one day be made into a series.

So please, pop a squat in front of Gruesomestein's, and if you like it, pass along the word to your friends. Let's help keep the show alive!!

I was recently asked to do a pinup for a european graphic novel called "Wondercity". Dont think it's in print yet, but there's some samples up here . It looks fantastic. Well worth checking out!

Anyhow, here's what I came up with tonight. Hope you all like!!

Twiki and Blip

Here's a short story I did awhile back for the talented folks over at Zowie Comics... (http://www.zowiecomics.com/) . Since the issue debuted this past July at the San Diego con, I figured it's safe to show the whole story now. Over the next year, I'm hoping to go back and flesh the story out into a 30 page storybook format, and then maybe shop it around to a few book publishers. Cross your fingers for me!

Nuna nuna nuna....BATMAN!

Another oldie. As much as I like to play with color, switching up to black and white and focusing on linework is a good exercise too.

Mario's nightmare

I did this a few weeks back for fun. It's an oldie, but still worth posting I hope.
